My work explores the human condition through an alteration of reality. I employ visual shifts that approach the surreal — transformed bodies, displaced symbols, unstable figures — to reveal emotional and psychological truths that often remain unseen. The body becomes a site of inner tension, a territory where fragility, resistance, and silence coexist.

My research focuses particularly on masculinity, not as an image of strength, but as a space of vulnerability, emotional restraint, and intimate complexity. My figures are frequently faceless or transformed, moving away from individual identity toward a more universal presence in which viewers can project themselves.

I work across traditional painting and digital art. Each piece develops its own formal language, yet all remain connected through an instinctive use of color, atmosphere, and emotional intensity.

My central body of work, “Comme un Ballon,” forms the core of my practice. The balloon operates as an existential metaphor: breath of life, elevation, pressure, fragility, and the risk of rupture. Bodies float between dream and gravity within charged environments where the surreal becomes a way to speak about the real.

As a child, at the age of three, I would draw in the air, tracing invisible forms with my finger, convinced images already existed there. This instinctive gesture precedes all training and remains central to my practice: making visible what has not yet been seen.

My work is not meant to decorate a space. It aims to provoke an inner response, sometimes uncomfortable. To look at a work is to enter a dialogue with oneself. Owning one of my artworks requires presence, sensitivity, and courage.

ABOUT

Jimmy is a Lebanese artist based in France whose work explores the human condition through an alteration of reality. Trained in fine arts and graphic design, his practice underwent a significant transition in 2020, making a deeper commitment to his artistic research and development of a multidisciplinary approach.

His practice moves between traditional painting and digital art. Through a visual approach that leans toward the surreal, he transforms bodies and symbols to reveal deeper emotional and psychological realities. His work particularly examines masculinity, not as an image of strength, but as a space of vulnerability, inner tension, and silent complexity. His figures are often faceless, moving beyond individual identity toward a universal presence.

His current research centers on the series “Comme un Ballon,” where the balloon becomes an existential metaphor — breath of life, elevation, pressure, fragility. Bodies drift between dream and gravity within intensely chromatic environments.

Earlier projects such as “Lit Skins” and “Dot Dot Dot” already explored light, identity, and human interconnectedness. His work has been presented in France, including exhibitions at Galerie Artelier in Clermont-Ferrand and as part of the Les Arts en Balade festival. In February 2024, Comme un Ballon was exhibited at La Bulle in Paris.

His work is not positioned within decoration but within a space of emotional confrontation, inviting viewers into an introspective experience.
