Comme un ballon

Because a man like a balloon is impossible but we would say a dream is impossible or is it not?

“Comme un ballon” is a dream I had a lot as a kid. I’d float above the ground, walk higher in the air until I could see everything below me. Grandma used to say “you are flying like a bird”, but I always wondered how that’s possible without wings.

Growing up, I figured it out. I’m like a balloon in my dream, “Comme un ballon” is me.

I started drawing people and portraits as balloons when I moved to France. There, I found freedom to express myself like never before. When you look at those balloons, think of the fragility we all hide beneath our tough exteriors., where I experienced a life of unrestricted freedom of expression. I invite you to project your own story into the balloon, that of an immense fragility which hides beneath our tough appearance.

“Comme un ballon” expresses the journey of life through rich colors, immersive atmosphere and expressive emotions. Using the balloon as a powerful metaphor, I become that balloon, sharing my experiences with you.
